Cuba Libre

I posted my trip photos over on Flickr last night, a process that took several hours. Hence no post yesterday. I never claimed to be prolific. Profligate, perhaps, but not prolific. While in Cuba I worshipped at the altar of the prolific, but my prayers apparently fell on deaf ears. On second thought, perhaps Ernest was more profligate than prolific anyway. Among the strikes against me as a writer: love of sleep, sense of responsibility to my day job, desire to talk to someone other than my cat and my computer, slow dial-up.

In any case, I hereby liberate my (mostly unedited) travel photos for all to see.

P.S. I've never used Flickr before, so please let me know if you encounter any problems or have any advice.

Wow, several of those are amazing, stunning. Many more are beautiful. And lots are just weird or interesting somehow. I like the dark foreboding sky, and shooting into the light on the frame edges - both well-capture a mood. I'll look forward to a longer look off the clock. Thanks for posting them!

(Welcome back, to the land that winter forgot.)

Decided to look up 'profligate.' Do you mean 'wasteful,' like the trip was expensive, or 'dissolute,' like you had fun? ;)

(Did you know in the OS X Dictionary app you can double-click on any word and go to that word? Learn something new every day.)

Hannah, these are incredible!! My favourite is the Tide in the Garden photo...it almost looks as though the arches are being drawn into the sea itself, like the lost city of Atlantas. The blue jelly fish reminds me so much of a glass paperweight, and I love the soft amber light in the Pavillion. MJ is right, there are so many stunning shots to browse through...

Looks like you all had a blast! :)
